R.I.P JD Salinger

salinger

So sad:(

PS. This article is really good: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/29/books/29salinger.html?pagewanted=1&hp

PPS. Read the Catcher in the Rye! It’s awesome.

So wake up, or wake up alone.

Old pictures from Barcelona and London. My older brother is moving to New York in September. I'm seriously jealous. I also want to move to New York! Duhh... I've got some new pictures too, but they're still in my camera. It's easy to get lazy when there's loads and loads of snow outside your window... /I

Bananas of the world, UNITE!

Now I’m going to read in my really cool guide book to New York from the seventies that I bought yesterday for 5 SEK (like 50 cent).

run run run

sucky picture... whatevs.

shirt, Weekday. Dress, Koola Anna. Hat, grandma's old. I'm thinking about what book I'm going to (re)read for english. I have to decide by monday, and since i'm going to present this book i want it to be reeeeaaally good so that i can stand in front of the class telling them passionately about how good it was. I've been thinking about "Incredibly loud and extremely close" (by Jonathan Safran Foer), "Special topics in Calamaty Physics" (by Marisha Pessl, I've already read it once in swedish and thought it was brilliant) or maybe "the Catcher in the Rye" (J.D Salinger, already read it and liked it alot).

Hmm.. I have to go to the library tomorrow and decide. Maybe I'll just follow my gut feeling and randomly chose one. That way I usually end up with great books...

It’s a cool cover.

Lol.

vinter2 10 030

I forgot I took this photo a few days ago. It’s a small part of my travel card collection (ok, the Gröna Lund card doesn’t really belong there, it’s for a tivoli). I always collect these kinds of things. I think it’s fun to find old brochures of places I’ve been to or cinema and theatre tickets. OK, I guess I save a lot of other stuff too, like old news papers in languages I don’t even speak. Lol.

Andy Warhol also collected loads of stuff :-). I visited his museum in Pittsburgh two years ago where they showed pretty much everything he collected. That was pretty cool.

....

Since school started (11th), this is what I've been doing:

* Working out (running, going to the gym), I have a school project for PE where you have to write down how much you've excercised every day, and since I want to impress (and score a good grade) I've been working out a lot last few weeks

* Done other schoolworks

* Watched "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" (I sat and tried to interpret everything which somehow made it even better), "Rebel without a cause", "Sophies world" and more.

* Gone to a party last friday

* Painted and sewn. Might post pictures when I've finished, if it turns out good.

Might as well...

...post something Ray Johnson did.

MACBA.

Boring picture, I know, but I just wanted to post something dark and something of MACBA (the museum of modern arts in barcelona). It's great, loads of cool people hang out in front of it and the art is kind of cool (Ray Johnson!) and they've got an awesome bookstore. Soooo...if you're going to Barcelona, go to MACBA!

Poladroid is very fun, although I want the real thing. /I

Grandma's hat

I like this hat. /I

Bow

In Barcelona I visited Montjuïc one day and afterwards I went down with the funicolare where I saw a girl with a bow in her hair. I've always had a thing for bows, they're really cute. I went to Accessorize afterwards and bought one. /I

Barcelona

Barri Gotic, El Raval, Montjuïc, Maremagnum. Barcelona is so lively and beautiful...I love it. I could start taking catalan or spanish just so that I could move there (and make myself understood, english and french doesn't always work there I realized). I've got loads of more pictures, I even emptied my memory card hehe. /Isabella
